Artist Amy Johnson, who often goes by the moniker Artful Artsy Amy, was born in metro Atlanta, GA where she continues to work and live. She graduated from The University of Georgia in 2003 with bachelors of fine arts and specialized in painting. Her artistic interests range wide from expressionism masters, to lowbrow rock stars, to pop culture. Her influences are found among such things as microbiology imagery, news updates, beads, buttons, tin cans, discarded bits of paper, and shiny things. Since school she has participated in numerous local shows. Currently, she teaches middle school art, and is working towards her Master's in Illustration.
